Shikimax

SHIKIMAX addresses the critical need for sustainability in the chemical industry, particularly in the production of aromatic compounds found in everyday products, from food additives to polymers. Traditional production methods of aromatics rely heavily on fossil fuels, resulting in substantial greenhouse gas emissions and environmental degradation.

In response, we harness advanced metabolic engineering to develop SHIKIMAX, a plug-in microbial platform that converts renewable resources into a wide array of valuable aromatics with over 80% production yields and exceptional consistency. SHIKIMAX not only offers significant reductions in production costs and resource consumption compared to alternative methods but also facilitates easy integration into existing production systems.

By providing a sustainable and economically viable platform for aromatic production, we aim to benefit diverse industries and consumers, driving economic growth while reducing carbon footprints. Our goal is to make sustainable products more accessible, thereby contributing to a greener economy.

Through the Biotech Booster program, we will conduct comprehensive techno-economic analyses, optimize our microbial strains for robust industrial performance, and actively seek partnerships for co-development. Additionally, we will perform competitor and customer analyses to sharpen our go-to-market strategy, ensuring that SHIKIMAX is effectively integrated into existing supply chains.
