Three members from Biotech Booster projects receive personal grant by the Faculty of Impact

Congratulations to Fleur van Eeden, Dr. Brigit van Brenk, and Dr. Carina Nieuwenweg for receiving a personal grant by the Faculty of Impact! They are part of the Biotech Booster projects The Happy Bar, Fungi Waste Treats Water Waste and Super-Mendelian Microfactories

In total 11 fellows have been awarded a personal grant of €200,000 including a coaching program that will enable the fellows to further develop their projects. Zooming in on The Happy Bar team, over the past six months, they have been working on enhancing their proprietary fermentation process, aiming to bring a tasty and nutritious product to the market. Fleur van Eeden shared her insights and experiences in an interview on NPO Radio 1. The Happy Bar project also caught the attention of RTL.nl, which published an article about their innovative work. We are excited to see that the potential of all three Biotech Booster projects is recognized and look forward to follow their further developments.
