Our Event for Entrepreneurs and Level 2 Project Kick-Off

On February 6, 2025, we had the privilege of bringing together our pool of entrepreneurs and the teams from our Level 2 projects for an inspiring event. This gathering was a fantastic opportunity to connect researchers and entrepreneurs, an important step in valorization.

Hosted at the beautiful Kasteel Woerden, the event provided a platform for all project teams to introduce themselves and share the groundbreaking work they are doing. These teams are tackling some of the biggest challenges in biotech—developing solutions to improve crop growth for global food security, helping cancer patients receive the right treatment, advancing treatments for eye diseases, and pioneering work with exosomes. Hearing about their ambitious plans was both inspiring and a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. There was a Q&A session afterwards where attendees had the chance to gain deeper insights into the projects. By engaging with teams at an early stage, we help them build the right network and refine their strategies for success.

In addition to the project pitches, Biotech Booster’s CEO Nettie Buitelaar shared exciting insights into the future of our program, and the CBO, Rein Strijker, walked us through how success sharing works, helping us understand the bigger picture of collaboration and impact.

We also aim to bring our entrepreneurs together annually, and this event, with over 100 attendees, was a great way for them to get to know more about the projects we work with. This event was more than just a networking opportunity; it demonstrated our core belief that real biotech innovation happens when researchers and entrepreneurs collaborate. By actively bringing these worlds together, we accelerate the path from research to actually bringing these findings to the market. We are grateful for the expertise and dedication of our entrepreneurs, who play an important role in helping us create real impact in biotech.

This is just the beginning—we’re excited to see what the future holds for these projects and the broader biotech community!
