Agriculture & Food

Green biotechnology uses biological systems and organisms to develop environmentally sustainable solutions for the agriculture, food and feed sectors. It involves techniques like for example genetic modification and plant breeding to create crops that are more resistant to pests, diseases, and environmental stresses, reducing the need for chemical pesticides and fertilizers. By enhancing natural processes, green biotech aims to improve food security, conserve biodiversity, and reduce the environmental footprint of farming.

In this Agriculture & Food Thematic Cluster (TC 2) Biotech Booster connects academia, industry and serial entrepreneurs at an early stage to accelerate the growth of the project teams: to ensure that our society can benefit more quickly from the potential that biotechnology has to offer.
