Industrial Biotech
Bootcamp

Industrial biotech offers major potential for a sustainable future, but building successful startups in this field is complex and many struggle to reach the market. The Industrial Biotech Bootcamp, built by Biotech Booster and Planet B.io helps entrepreneurs navigate these challenges by giving them the tools, insights, and guidance to define their critical path to market.

This intensive program is exclusively designed for biotech startups: companies using enzymes and microorganisms to create biobased products from renewable raw materials or waste streams. The program supports ventures active in sectors such as chemicals, food and feed, detergents, paper and pulp, textiles, materials, and bioenergy. Through expert guidance, practical workshops, and a strong entrepreneurial network, participants strengthen their business strategy, validate market opportunities, and accelerate their path towards growth and investment.

About the program

The Industrial Biotech Bootcamp is an intensive 8-week programme structured around four intensive modules. You’ll work directly on your startup through hands-on and interactive in-person sessions, practical assignments, expert feedback, and peer learning. Each module concludes with a dinner alongside experienced industrial biotech entrepreneurs, creating valuable opportunities to expand your network through an informal setting.

Please note: This is not a passive program. Prepare for a high-intensity experience where you dedicate your time to actively translate your insights into real progress for your startup. Between sessions, you’ll complete homework, prepare assignments through pre-reading materials, and apply new insights to your business. Participants are expected to fully commit their time, energy, and focus throughout the 8-week program.

Citaat

Industrial biotech isn’t forgiving. You need industry contacts, regulatory awareness, scale-up logic, and financial discipline before anything moves. We didn’t have most of that. The program addressed those gaps perfectly. Because it was designed by industrial biotechnologists for industrial biotechnologists. As a result, we are more confident in our go-to-market plan and investor communication for the first-of-its-kind flame retardant from bacterial biopolymers.
