Vacancy

Commercialization Lead (2x 0,8 – 1 FTE)

Start date: as soon as possible

Biotech Booster aims to accelerate the growth of biotechnology innovations, creating impact and contributing to solving societal challenges. We support researchers and entrepreneurs in bringing their biotechnology innovations to the market faster and more successfully. A key element of achieving this ambition is ensuring that our most promising projects successfully transition from research to real-world application. As part of the Commercialization team, you will play a crucial role in guiding these high-potential projects toward commercialization and market success. We are looking to fill two positions, one in industrial/agri-food biotech and another in life-science & health biotech.

About Biotech Booster

Biotech Booster is a National Growth Fund (NGF) program with funding of €246 million to support entrepreneurs and researchers in rapidly bringing their biotechnology innovations and scientific ideas to the market. These innovations can help solve societal challenges and improve the quality of life, such as sustainable food production, climate-resilient agriculture, and innovative medicines and therapies. By accelerating the valorization of biotech research, Biotech Booster helps ensure that scientific discoveries translate into tangible societal and economic value rather than remaining confined to the laboratory.

We operate with a small, enthusiastic core team and a broad biotech network. This network includes business and impact developers who work within five national Thematic Clusters (TCs). Together, we identify and accelerate promising biotech projects. Since the program launched, more than 70 projects have joined our community and received funding and support. Our integrated approach combines scientific breakthroughs with commercialization expertise, ecosystem access, and investment readiness support. Biotech Booster fills a critical gap in the innovation ecosystem and strengthens the pathway from knowledge to market impact.
To further strengthen the program’s success and impact, Biotech Booster is expanding its focus to actively guide high-potential projects toward commercialization. This is where you come in.

Your role within the team

As the Commercialization Lead, your mission is to guide the most promising biotech projects toward commercialization and long-term impact. You will work closely with seasoned entrepreneurs, project teams, business and impact developers, Thematic Clusters, knowledge transfer offices, investors, industry, and the Biotech Booster team. You will play a key role in identifying high-potential projects, developing commercialization strategies, and connecting projects to the right expertise, partners, and investors to accelerate their path to market.
